“Asia Folk 2024” festival
Over 170 artists from 10 countries, including PRC, Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia, Islamic Republic of Iran, Uzbekistan, Mongolia and Philippines participated in “Asia Folk 2023” folklore and handcraft festival, held in Ulaanbaatar on June 14-16, 2024.
Handcrafters from Japan, India and Korea also participated in the festival, presented their handcraft items.
In folklore category, Batnyam Batbayar, jaw harp artist from Mongolia won the Grand Prix, Golden Cup and got cash prize of 10 000 000 tg. Silver cup went to “LAB Art” project team, from Indonesia and they received cash prize of 7 000 000 tg. They also won the silver cup of “Asia Folk 2023. Muminova Oykhon, a dancer from Uzbekistan got the bronze cup of the festival and 4 000 000 tg.
